Caspersen Beach is one of the most enjoyable shelling beaches in the area and an excellent spot to find prehistoric sharks’ teeth! There are nature trails traveling through freshwater and saltwater marshes, mangrove areas, and tidal flats, and excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing. No lifeguards on duty.
A restored dune system features boardwalk-style dune walkovers. The walkovers serve to protect the dunes, and they also provide an excellent vantage point from which to view spectacular Gulf sunsets!
This beautiful park is located south of the Venice Municipal Airport and is bounded by the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway.
Caspersen Beach is a National Healthy Beach, and is certified as a "Blue Wave" beach by the Clean Beaches Council.
