Our program is so active that the local PE teachers can tell on the first week of school which students spent their summer at ABRFC!
The campers push each other to conquer physical feats like climbing rope, navigating the monkey bars, or getting to the top of the peg board. Kids who haven't had much experience riding bikes quickly learn how to ride without training wheels on our bike track with the encouragement of their friends, and don’t spend much time on the ground when they fall because they are driven to get up and try again.
When it is time to cool off on a hot summer day, campers move inside for crafts and indoor games, do karate class or jump in our 25 yard swimming pool instead of sitting in front of a screen.
Through Life Academy programs, campers learn about effective communication, how to be a strong swimmer, water safety skills, how to sew, basic bike maintenance, problem solving skills, stress management and what it means to be a good friend.
